Akira Kurosawa: a Japanese filmmaker. Regarded as one of the most important and influential filmmakers in the history of cinema, Kurosawa directed 30 films in a career spanning 57 years.
5. Manchester by the Sea: a 2016 American drama film written and directed by Kenneth Lonergan and starring Casey Affleck, Michelle Williams, Kyle Chandler, and Lucas Hedges. The plot follows a man who looks after his teenage nephew after his brother dies. (IMDb with trailer)

7. One True Thing: a 1998 American drama film directed by Carl Franklin. It tells the story of a woman who is forced to put her life on hold in order to care for her mother who is dying of cancer. It was adapted by Karen Croner from the novel by Anna Quindlen. The novel and film are based on Anna Quindlen's real life and her struggle of dealing with the death of her mother, Prudence Pantano Quindlen in 1972, due to ovarian cancer. (IMDb) (trailer)
8. Lipstick Effect: the theory that when facing an economic crisis consumers will be more willing to buy less costly luxury goods. Instead of buying expensive fur coats, for example, people will buy expensive lipstick.

12. Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch: an English actor who has performed in film, television, theatre and radio. He is the son of actors Timothy Carlton and Wanda Ventham. Cumberbatch graduated from the University of Manchester and continued his training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, obtaining a Master of Arts in Classical Acting.
Sherlock Holmes: a 2009 British-American neo-noir mystery period action film based on the character of the same name created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The film was directed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Susan Downey and Dan Lin. (IMDb with trailer)
